The results are in! From classic bathrooms to mid-century modern inspired interiors, the Master Builders’ audience has revealed their favourite looks this year. The association’s Dream Home Series quizzed audiences on their favourite looks and these chic designs came out on top.

Clean, modern and chic bedrooms

Simple bedrooms are one of the big trends revealed in the Master Builder survey.  With neutral tones, effortless patterns and sophisticated aesthetics, these modern bedrooms appeal to many. Create this look in your home with Resene Sandspit Brown and trims in Resene Half Linen.

Soft blush hues paired with grey toned blues and greens are having a moment in bedrooms. To achieve this bedroom look use Resene Drought on the walls, paired with Resene Coast on the panelling and Resene Black White on the trims.

Cosy cabin and modern mid-century styled lounges

Cosiness was on front of mind for participants in the Dream Home quiz. Rustic cabin style emerged as a fan favourite with wooden finishes, exposed stone and fireplaces being foal points in trending interiors. Achieve this look with hues like woodland green Resene Scrub and Resene Longitude and wood stained in Resene Colorwood Mid Greywash.

Classic mid-century modern looks were a firm audience favourite. Open spaces, large statement furniture and accent pillows paired with subtle earth tones and simple lines helps bring to life this mid-century touch that appeals to so many. You can create this timeless feel with Resene Half Cloud on the walls, Resene Merino on trims and Resene Colorwood Heartwood on flooring.

Classic and timeless bathrooms

Bathrooms with a view are a key interior trend. To achieve this look keep it simple with soft off whites such as Resene Merino and greys such as Resene Concrete with black touches in Resene Ironsand to allow the view to take centre stage.

Monotone simplicity was another popular choice of the Master Builders’ social media audience. Achieve this look with Resene Nero and Resene Alabaster and add luxe features such as brass joinery, gold vases and long drapes you can create a classic, timeless and elegant look.
