Disco fever in pink: A salon with a glamorous and groovy edge

Disco, in Morningside, Auckland, is not your typical hair salon. Designed to stand and be anything but ordinary, Dave and Jennie opened Disco in September 2022, choosing bright and vibrant Resene pinks to show off their design flair.

Resene SpaceCote tinted to the shades Resene Scrumptious and Resene Smitten were chosen for the walls of the salon. The irresistible magenta and vivacious fuchsia create a unique and individual environment, which reflects the way the pair approach their valued customers.

“We wanted a design that was upbeat, friendly and unique, not your usual beige and greige salon,” Dave says. “The colours reflect how we respect that every client is unique, not just another haircut - as stylists we approach clients as individuals, and we want them each to shine in their best possible way.

“Our existing clients love it and it's actually brought in some new clients too. People seem to be drawn to it, as it's hard to miss.”

Disco Salon only use and sell products that they love, so they only choose cruelty free products for their colour and styling. They are also a member of Sustainable Salons, which means 95% of their waste get recycled - paper, metal, plastic, even your hair!
