Aleisha refreshed the old bricks on her home and the result is bright and modern! Gone are the brown bricks and in with Resene Double Rice Cake. The concrete steps, front door and roof are now painted in Resene Porter.
A teacher at Glenfield Primary Schooldecided to purchase some cheap framed canvas and a 4L of ReseneLumbersider Low Sheenand over the school holidays applied coat after coat of ReseneLumbersider Low Sheen to the canvas. There were also a number of old Resenetestpots and Resenewallpaper swatches. When the kids returned to school, they each got to pick out a Resenetestpot colour and paint the canvas, then, once dry, they carved a pattern of their choice. They turned out great – a unique piece of artwork displayed by each student to be proud of.
The best way to decide on a paint colour is by picking up some Resenetestpots in your chosen shades. Michelle did just that and painted them on her front door to help her decide. The choice is narrowed down to Resene Outrageous, Resene Dizzy Lizzy and Resene Poppy. They are all stunning against the dark exterior – we look forward to seeing what she decides!
habitat reader Rosanna’s son, Kamran, painted a detailed and colourful picture for a school art project. “He has clearly been influenced by Resene’s advertising at cricket matches,” says Rosanna. “The brilliant colours and preposterous story make it eye catching and funny. The story on Kamran’s picture is of New Zealand playing England at the Basin Reserve. It's a T20 and they take a tea break before the last over of the game.”
If you’re looking for fun ways for your children to explore art and painting, take them along to your local Resene ColorShop to pick out their favourite testpot shades!
Spotted at Picton Marina, another shining example of re-using Resene paint buckets. The buckets that once had Resene Eco Choice approved paint inside now have new life growing in them!
