Where have all flowers gone?

Artist Nicola Wright, who uses Resene paint on her works, has had a piece selected for the current The Estuary Artworks exhibition at the Uxbridge Arts Centre. Entitled Salt Meadows and using Resene Blast Grey 1 from the Resene Metallics and Special Effects range, it comprises hundreds of white origami fortune-tellers to represent the white sea primrose flowers that grow in estuaries. The grey fortune-tellers show the recent decay to estuarine life in a braille pattern which spells the word ‘where’, taken from the folk song Where have all the flowers gone? The exhibition runs until April 26.
