As the experts in colour forecasting, the Color Marketing Group (CMG) use their passion for colour to bring us the latest trends and influences from different hues. Along with your skills in design and love of Resene, you’ll be able to weave these into your next project to create a trendy and stylish design to wow your clients.

We’re looking into the time between February – May and bringing you some inspiration for how to ‘get the look’ with Resene paints and wallpapers. Let's explore the colours defining this transitional period and how they can refresh and invigorate our surroundings:

February 2024: Jolting, energetic and visceral

Azoic, the 2024 Key Color for North America, is a vibrant green-based yellow that invigorates naturally, mentally and physically. Reminiscent of sulphur-rich hot springs, this high-energy hue enlivens commercial spaces, home décor, textiles and accessories. It warms greys, darkens blues, plums and browns, adds excitement to prints and makes lacquered and glass items glow. Azoic's visceral impact triggers action and purpose, making it perfect for interiors, fashion and accessories, where it symbolises readiness and movement with dynamic finishes. This powerful colour, rooted in nature and the brain's motor systems, is impossible to ignore.

You don’t need to go all out yellow, but some bursts of this joyful shade can do wonders for a space while still maintaining a stylish and sophisticated feel. Whether used as a focal point or as an accent colour, blues have the ability to transform any room. This room explores the fun element of more pure brighter blue hues. Symbolising discovery, strength and collaboration, this vibrant hue encourages collective progress in living, design and work. Whether in small bursts or large blocks, this shade would be ideal for education spaces, shared workspaces and home interiors.

Like the sun’s rays, Follow Me! beckons with warmth and positivity, perfect for many interior design projects. Its bright, juicy appearance in glossy finishes adds excitement and joy to any space, from both accent walls to textiles. Embrace the energy and possibilities of Follow Me! to illuminate a path forward with strength and camaraderie.

This emerging 2024 colour for North America combines the energy of the virtual world with the natural beauty of the physical one. Uplifting and immersive, Tech Off brings uninhibited joy and a refreshing breath of air to interiors, health and wellness, fashion and more. Its luminous finish creates vibrant oases on surfaces and walls, while smaller elements like cabinetry and accessories add splashes of renewal. Tech Off enhances light and dark neutrals, complements navy and black, and merges digital inspiration with natural aesthetics.
