Auckland Design Week: Earlybird tickets available!

Auckland Design Week is an annual celebration of Tāmaki Makaurau’s dynamic design community, bringing together creative thinkers, practitioners, showrooms and retailers from across the city. It offers an open and collaborative platform for exploring how design shapes the way we live and work across diverse disciplines.

The event embodies fresh energy, redefining what design can be – acting as both a cultural lens and a welcoming invitation for everyone, from professionals to enthusiasts, to engage in meaningful conversations about creativity. Whether your passion lies in architecture, fashion, graphics and animation, interiors, film and music, UX or the arts, Auckland Design Week 2025 promises something for everyone, reflecting the full spectrum of the city’s design talent and innovation.

The Chance + Change Conference delves into the transformative role of emerging technologies across design disciplines; challenging attendees to move beyond fear and embrace innovation. As tools like AI, VR, AR, robotics, 3D printing and prefabrication reshape industries, this theme explores how designers can balance technological advancements with the integrity of traditional craftsmanship. This design conference invites industry professionals from all disciplines to reflect on how new tools can elevate their work. Through collaboration, discussion and installations, participants and attendees will interrogate ethical implications, push boundaries and explore the potential of these technologies in their design practices.

Chance + Change promotes a mindset of curiosity – encouraging thoughtful adaptation to change whilst honouring the foundational principles of design. Ultimately, this theme positions technology not as a threat but as an ally in the creative process, inspiring designers to forge new pathways toward innovation without losing sight of artistry and purpose.

Auckland Design Week are kicking off with an exciting lineup featuring four of their key sessions, with breaks throughout the day where food and beverages will be available for purchase from local vendors.
